Algebra 2 Bootcamp

Algebra 2 is where students no longer "do math" they need to "think math" and understand the key components of algebra. It is often described as the fork in the road that students decide whether they will pursue a college degree that requires math or not, if they haven't already. Over the years that I have taught this course, I have found that many students simply "get by" in Algebra 1 by memorizing a few formulas or finding creative hacks, yet neglect to digest and understand the material. This poor foundation leads to significant gaps and struggles. This summer session course will cover the key "meat" of Algebra 1 and branch into the basic tenets of Algebra 2 so students are ready to go and know what they will face in the upcoming year. They'll even get a 'leg up' on the 'competition' in class!

Algebra 1 EOC Exam Prep

The End of Course (EOC) Exam for Algebra 1 is a South Carolina state-based exam that all students are required to take. In most classes, this exam counts for a heavier weight than traditional exams. I have personally prepared hundreds of students for this exam for almost a decade and, in recent years, I have been a leading contributor in my school's rise to obtain the highest rank of Algebra EOC test scores in my district. Each Exam Prep class is made up of 10 hour-long sessions (timeframe ranges 50-70 minutes). Membership to this class will include additional resources and solution guides to further aid students in addition to an AMA (ask me anything) session for final review.
